The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is motivated and passionate about life sciences and interested in pursuing a career in technical sales. As an SDR at Cytek, you will play a critical role in our sales process by qualifying inbound leads, nurturing cold leads, and generating new outbound opportunities. In addition to lead development, this role will require ownership of shaping the SDR function at Cytek, as it is a new and essential part of our sales team. For the right candidate, this position provides a clear pathway to becoming a Technical Sales Representative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform a minimum of the following responsibilities:

  • Qualify inbound leads by understanding their needs and guiding them to the appropriate sales resources.
  • Develop outbound lead generation strategies to identify and engage potential customers.
  • Manage cold leads by nurturing relationships and keeping them engaged with Cytek's offerings.
  • Research prospective customers and assist the sales team in identifying key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to refine lead-nurturing strategies and improve conversion rates.
  • Track and report on key metrics, such as lead engagement and pipeline development.
  • Help build and improve the SDR role by developing best practices, workflows, and sales tools.
  • Assist in setting up appointments and demos for senior sales team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
  • Exposure to or experience with flow cytometry, ideally spectral flow cytometry, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and build relationships with prospective customers.
  • Interest in developing a career in sales, with a passion for life sciences and innovative technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving role.
  • Organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience in a sales development or lead generation role is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent understanding of organizational processes associated with a capital equipment company
  • Computer proficiency is required. Previous experience with Saleforce.com and NetSuite is highly preferred.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and strategically to achieve individual and corporate goals

COMPENSATION:

  • CA Base Pay: $25.00/hr - $36.00/hr, commensurate with experience

  • Bethesda, MD Base Pay: $23.00/hr - $32.00/hr, commensurate with experience
