Position Overview

QinetiQ is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support corporate functions across the U.S. Sector. This role is responsible for the governance and lifecycle management of the Business Management System (BMS), the central repository for business process documentation. The selected candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop, maintain, and control business policies, procedures, and training documentation, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities

    Serves as the primary administrator of the Business Management System (BMS), ensuring documents are current, controlled, and accessible.
  • Partner with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to draft, revise, and maintain policies, procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing accurate, timely documentation and maintaining audit-ready records.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and tools to support the adoption of process documentation.
  • Facilitate document reviews, approvals, version control, archival, and obsolescence processes in line with corporate governance standards.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to document lifecycle management and content governance.
  • Track document control metrics and produce reports to management as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 2+ years of related work experience in process development and support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Windchill PLM/PDM
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience operating in AS9100 and CMMI certified environments
