Security Officer - Healthcare Patrols

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrols in Port Jervis, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the healthcare location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas to support compliance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, staff, and patients with directions and information as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with local authorities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
