As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Mall Patrol in Montebello, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for both visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This position may involve driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be counted on to respond calmly and professionally to various situations, always prioritizing communication and teamwork. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Lifting more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
