Moog's Corporate Groupis looking for a skilled and experienced Technology Operations & Reliability Center Manager to join our IT Service Delivery Team!

As the Manager of the Technology Operations & Reliability Center (TORC) you will be responsible for leading a 24x7 operations center team that ensures the availability, performance, and resilience of enterprise IT services. You will also oversee the enablement of functions such as Major Incident Management operations, monitoring and event management, and lead service reliability efforts to drive improvement across all technology functions. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical depth, operational rigor, and leadership excellence.

To qualify for the Technology Operations & Reliability Center Manager, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Typically, Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Over ten (10) years of IT operations experience, with at least four (4) years managing Operations Centers, Network Operations Center (NOC), or equivalent IT Command Center functions.

  • Proven experience managing third-party vendorsdelivering managed IT operations or Command Center services.

  • Strong background in Major Incident Managementand event management processes, ideally within an ITIL framework.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, and others).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, especially under high-pressure incident conditions.

  • Must be located in the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

It would also be helpful if you had...

  • ITIL v4 certification or equivalent operational/process framework knowledge.

  • Experience in implementing AIOps platforms and event correlation solutions.

  • Background in hybrid cloud operations (Azure, AWS) and SaaS monitoring.

  • Experience working in highly regulated industries with strong compliance requirements.

As the Technology Operations & Reliability Center Manager, your responsibilities will include...

Operations Center Leadership & Governance

  • Own the day-to-day operation and strategic evolution of the Technology Operations & Reliability Center, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.

  • Lead and manage teams (internal and external) that provide real-time monitoring, incident triage, and escalation.

  • Establish performance standards, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure consistent, repeatable execution of Operations Center functions.

  • Define and track Operations Center KPIs (MTTR, incident response times, event resolution rates, etc.) and report performance to senior leadership.

Incident & Event Management

  • Provide oversight and execution of Major Incident Management (MIM)operations, serving as the escalation point and Incident Commander for high-severity incidents.

  • Ensure timely resolution, stakeholder communication, and post-incident reviews.

  • Collaborate with Problem Management to drive root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

  • Ensure third-party providers follow defined incident management processes, with effective escalation and coordination across internal technology teams.

  • Drive improvements in Event Management, ensuring alert quality, signal-to-noise reduction, and proactive detection of service-impacting issues.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Design and implement proactive monitoring strategies and policies across infrastructure, applications, and services.

  • Own and manage core monitoring and observability tooling, partnering with internal and external resources to build, run, and enhance the platforms.

  • Partner with platform and application teams to expand monitoring and observability coverage across critical business systems.

  • Work with internal teams and vendors to enhance telemetry, event correlation, and automation capabilities.

  • Champion adoption of modern tools and practices (e.g., AIOps, automated remediation, predictive analytics) to increase Technology Operations effectiveness.

Vendor & Service Provider Management

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors delivering technology operations managed services, ensuring SLA compliance, quality of service, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive accountability through regular service reviews, operational scorecards, and escalation management.

  • Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate contracts, renewals, and service scope as Operations Center capabilities evolve.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Conduct operational reviews, incident postmortems, and trend analysis to identify recurring issues and drive systemic improvements.

  • Partner with Problem Management, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery teams to ensure operational readiness for large-scale incidents.

  • Foster a culture of proactive risk management, operational resilience, and continuous service improvement.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $140,000.00-$175,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
