Location:Gulf Coast Medical Center -13681 Doctor's WayFort Myers FL 33912 Department: Respiratory Care Work Type: PRN ; Looking for at least one 10 hour shift a week Shift: Shift 1/6:45:00 AM to 5:15:00 PM Pay Rate:$39.78 / hour SummaryJoin Our Pulmonary Diagnostics Team at Gulf Coast Medical Center: Were seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapist to join our Pulmonary Diagnostics Lab at Gulf Coast Medical Center. In this role, youll work alongside a skilled, collaborative team to provide advanced testing, patient education, and high-quality care that helps improve respiratory health outcomes. We are looking for the individual in this role to work at least one 10 hour shift a week, with opportunities for additional hours if desired. Our Registered Respiratory Therapists administers all therapeutic, diagnostic, and mechanical modalities under the purview of Respiratory Care Services, for which the Therapist has demonstrated appropriate proficiency, and has been documented as competent to perform these procedures. All of the criteria-based duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the hospital. Responsibility for the delivery of Respiratory Care to patients of all age groups, to include all therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas draws and analysis, ventilator management, and airway management. May assess staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a "Technical Consultant". In addition to normal Respiratory Therapist functions, the Respiratory Therapist in this role will also perform diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures and pulmonary function tests for both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include coordinating procedures with physicians and Endoscopy staff, ensuring proper equipment use and decontamination, maintaining and calibrating blood gas instruments, and supporting staff education and competency assessments related to bronchoscopy and blood gas testing RequirementsEducational Requirements:Associate's Required ;Bachelors required to perform duties of a Technical Consultant Experience Requirements:None ; New graduates of accredited COARC respiratory therapy program accepted State of Florida Licensure Requirements:Registered Respiratory Therapist License Certifications/Registration Requirements:Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an RRT ; BLS required ; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required as appropriate to population served and must beobtained within 6 months of hire where needed.
