Job Description


Provide instructions for installation of the software and support the Observer Data Input Nexus II (ODIN II) software on PCs and laptop computers, including configuring the database server access tables and databases for use by ODIN II and providing training and documentation to users. Provides direction to DA I and DA II for developing and generating various standard reports for Test Officers and their customers, such as TIRs; scoring documents; and various Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) reports. Performs a final quality check to TIRs and scoring data prior to release and validate that they post to Repository of Information for Test and Analysis (RITA) and VISION Digital Library System (VDLS). Assists with the administration of the RAM test database system for the Yuma Proving Ground Test Centers, including Yuma Test Center, Cold Regions Test Center, and Tropic Regions Test Center. Assists with the management of the local database network interface including installation, modification, troubleshooting, etc. Provides training and support for the methods of report generation and querying the databases using a web based, CAC enabled access, COGNOS software. Performs data recovery and project development. Normally works first shift, but the shift may vary to meet specific test needs. Performs other duties as required to complete assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay Rate:$26.01

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

*Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Database Specialist II.

*Must be proficient in using the following software: ODIN, VDLS, COGNOS, ADSS, JAVA, MS Word, MS EXCEL, SML editor, Visual Form Builder.

*Must have experience editing and compiling technical reports/documents.

Job Skills Requirements:



*Must be selected to fill a Database Specialist III position.

Physical Requirements:



*Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

*Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

*Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

*Must demonstrate capability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.

*Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.

*Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Data Entry.

*Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.

*Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

*Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
