The objective of this Project Manager position is to facilitate project management for the lab's translational pain and opioid research. The candidate will work to manage ongoing and future projects pertaining to the development of novel pain and opioid therapeutics, ensuring internal and collaborative operations run effectively. In parallel the candidate will track and report milestones to the principal investigator, external collaborators, and funding parties. A strong knowledge and technical skills required include project management, scientific communication, mentorship/leadership, pain and opioid neurobiology, in vivo pharmacology, and behavioral neuroscience

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

The candidate must have demonstrated experience working with induced pain and opioid neuroscience, behavioral pharmacology, mouse model systems, and molecular biology. The individual must have strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work on several projects both independently and in a team setting, and interface effectively with biologists and computational scientists and statisticians.

Experience with/in project management in the pain and opioid space.
