DUTIES:
Electronic Technicians must engage in diagnosis, calibration, repair, and overhaul of all electronic, logic, and digital equipment and electro-mechanical devices, as operated by the MTA. Electronic Technician maintains all records and forms in conformance with all regulations and in accordance with the requirements of the MTA. Must have experience in logic systems, digital circuitry, and electro-mechanical devices. Knowledge is required in the areas of traction power, catenary, signaling, fare collection, fare boxes, rail car systems, communications equipment, and complex electronic circuitry.
Furthermore, employees must be able to understand and operate special test equipment to support vehicles, handle situations impacting revenue service, and perform other jobs of a similar nature as may be required with the aid of minimal supervision associated with the Light Rail Systems Maintenance Group.

Must be able to move rail vehicles.

Note: Knowledge is required in the areas of traction power, signaling, fare collections, fareboxes, rail car systems, communications equipment and complex electronic circuitry.

Applicants must possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Maryland.

ELIGIBILITY:
Consideration will be given to all qualified members of A.T.U., Local 1300, as outlined below:
1. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed as a "A" Repairman in Group #9
2. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed as a Technician, "A", "B" or "C" Repairman in all other Groups
3. All other MTA employees
