JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Planning Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations VA and is responsible for the proper planning, scheduling, engineering and project data management for Virginia ship repair projects. The role ensures proper support for the Production and Project Management Team in the execution of ship repair projects. The Operations Planning Manager is seasoned in project management principles and champions a culture of accountability and consistent project management practices. The role is responsible for developing and managing the Project Planning process to include scheduling and resource management. In project execution the Operations Planning Manager is responsible for management of the Event Readiness List and work Certification process as well as the Lessons Learned Process. He recruits, coaches, mentors, and develops Project Management support personnel to accomplish these tasks to conform to expectations and to advance in ECR's project management model. The role fosters effective working relationships with Production and Project Management personnel and ensures prompt resolution of issues and corrective actions. The Operations Planning Manager works closely with ECR's Production and Estimating departments in reviewing labor estimates and assists in bid strategy assessments prior to bid submittals. The role collaborates with support departments in the areas of Production Support, QA, and Safety to ensure adequacy and quality of required project support. The Planning Manager is a strong leader who instills a strong culture of organizational discipline in the planning and execution of projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS
