What you will experience in this position:
- Provide engineering design and analysis within assigned project scope of work. This includes circuit loading, functional evaluations, layouts, and engineering drawings. Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control for the engineering scope of work.
- Use advanced software such as NavisWorks, Smart Plant, AutoCAD and our in-house programs TRACERLYNX and PROMAN to optimize our design process.
- Perform various engineering and circuit design tasks within our innovative paperless workflow process.
- Proactively establish customer relationships at appropriate levels and manage client expectations relative to technical execution methodologies, scope, schedule, progress, and technical change management. Impact to the work in own department and occasionally to other areas and functions.
- Identify and communicate proposed solutions to any emerging issues which are likely to impact cost, schedule, quality/design integrity, safety, or interface with construction.
- Develop resolution of problems of limited scope following standard procedures.
- Contribute toward the team environment and shared culture of Chemelex.
- Execute with basic knowledge of standard processes and systems.
- Choose the most appropriate solution.
- Possess a basic understanding of customer priorities.
- Occasionally support projects at site.
You have:
- An engineering degree from an accredited university or a technology diploma from a recognized college in the Electrical or Mechanical disciplines is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience as a Design Engineer or Field Engineer specializing in commercial heating applications is an asset.
- US Citizenship due to client/project requirements
- Possess solid time management skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Suites and SAP is an asset
- Knowledge of basic electrical and EHT design experience is an asset
- French language fluency is an asset
- Data Center experience is an asset
