POSITION SCOPE

We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-focused HR Business Partner - Onboarding Specialist to join our growing HR team at our Tempe, AZ location. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating a positive onboarding experience for new members of the expanding Fisher Team. They will efficiently manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless and positive transition into the company. You will serve as a key resource for new hires and hiring managers, providing guidance, resources, and support throughout the onboarding process.

The company is hiring around 600 employees per year, so onboarding will be a fast-paced and busy role. The onboarding process is comprised of various elements depending on the position, including paperwork, pre-employment physical, drug testing, background checks, and safety training. The HR Business Partner - Onboarding Specialist will need to be able to maintain organization with all of the onboarding steps and have the ability to effectively partner with the recruiting and safety departments, as well as with hiring managers, to provide the best new hire experience and meet supervisor expectations within the time it takes to complete the process so the new hire can begin work as soon as possible.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding, including paperwork, form I-9, pre-employment testing and orientation.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists, application logs and other internal onboarding tracking tools.
  • Provide prompt communication with hiring managers regarding status of new hires or to relay any delays in the onboarding process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees, answering questions and providing ongoing support during onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure role specific training needs and resources and tools are ready for new employees.
  • Deliver onboarding sessions and facilitate employee introductions to company policies.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  • Support HR initiatives related to training development and employee engagement as needed.
  • Contribute to day-to-day administration of department and assist with HR projects and reporting as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS



  • 2+ plus years of HR experience preferably in onboarding and employee relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry preferred
  • Flexibility to work overtime and participate in overnight/weekend travel when needed or directed
  • Willingness to provide an environment of customer service to the needs and requests of hiring managers, newly hired employees and other departments during the onboarding process
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under time constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Employee-focused mindset with a passion for creating positive experiences
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams
  • Advanced knowledge and ability utilizing Microsoft Office products
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required
