For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-focused HR Business Partner to join our growing HR team in our Dickinson, ND location. The successful candidate will have a passion to drive HR initiatives with a focus on employee and management collaboration. This role will provide day-to-day support and guidance with a problem-solving mindset from the onboarding of new employees to daily issues on issues pertaining to employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management and workplace concerns. PRIMARY DUTIES
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers on employment-related matters
- Partner with management to provide guidance in resolving employee relations issues ranging from performance management, retention, talent development and employee engagement
- Guide and coach managers regarding HR process and procedures as well as how to appropriately manage and resolve complex issues (e.g., performance management, conflict management)
- Participate in seamless on-boarding and orientation of new employees, serving as a point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing support throughout the new hire process.
- Collaborate with recruiting, IT, payroll, and safety to ensure new employees have proper tools, access and training.
- Contribution in the design, development and delivery of onboarding and annual employee and supervisor training programs on HR policies (e.g. Handbook Policy, Benefits, Code of Ethics, Harassment Prevention, Leave Management, Leadership, Communication, Coaching)
- Track required employee and management training completion
- Recommend and implement HR related process improvements that align with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Assist in HR compliance and benefit audits
- Contribute to day-to-day administration of department and assist with HR projects and reporting as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-4+ years of HR or related experience, preferably with a focus on proven effective communication, onboarding, training and project management
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Familiarity with requirements under the EEOC, DOL, FLSA, FMLA and ADA
- Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry preferred
- Ability to build trust and credibility with employees and supervisors
- Strong relationship, conflict and coaching management skills
- Problem-solving, conflict resolution and adaptability
- Employee-focused mindset with a passion for creating positive experiences
- Flexibility to work overtime and ability and willingness to travel, including some extensive overnight travel during designated times of year
- Advanced knowledge and ability utilizing Microsoft Office products
- Attention to detail and accuracy
