For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $3,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible
Patient Service Specialists!

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time Medical Secretary position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 24-hour per week position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Service Specialist to join our Central Medical Records team. In this role, you will support patients, providers, and staff by ensuring accurate medical record processing and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients, providers, and staff with requests for medical records
  • Managing release of information in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations
  • Processing, scanning, and indexing records accurately and efficiently
  • Responding to phone calls and inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Supporting department workflow and collaborating with team members


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
