Overview

The Global Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering operations for a major financial services account with a significant data centers. This role ensures the delivery of best-in-class workplace solutions, operational excellence, and risk mitigation while aligning with the client's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex, mission-critical environments across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a global engineering vision aligned with the client's business objectives and the broader organization's mission.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering matters, building trust with global and regional management and key business stakeholders.
    • Lead the organization's migration to a hybrid workplace ecosystem, supporting both office and remote workers globally.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Collaborate with our Client in the establishment/validation of global operating standards for the various occupancy and asset types in Client's portfolio.
    • Oversee the maintenance, operations, and engineering of critical facilities, including data centers and large global portfolios.
    • Ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of building systems supporting data center infrastructure.
    • Implement and monitor programs for reliability-centered maintenance, predictive and condition-based maintenance, and asset management.
    • Drive policy and process consistency to enable comparative analysis and quick decision-making.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, security, and safety requirements specific to financial services and data center operations.
    • Lead risk mitigation initiatives and ensure business continuity for mission-critical environments.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build and manage a high-performing global engineering team, including regional and site-level leaders.
    • Promote teamwork, provide coaching and feedback, and support career development and succession planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Partner with business, HR, IT, and other corporate functions to deliver an exceptional employee experience and support visioning, planning, and execution.
    • Maintain close relationships with client leadership, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Financial & Asset Management:
    • Balance cost, quality, and risk objectives while delivering year-over-year savings.
    • Oversee capital planning, asset lifecycle management, and financial obligations related to engineering operations.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Leverage technology and data analytics to drive operational improvements and future-proof asset strategies.
    • Identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and asset performance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in managing engineering, maintenance, and operations for critical facilities and data centers, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Proven ability to lead global teams and manage complex, multi-site portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, asset management systems (e.g., ISO55001), and building automation/energy management systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, risk mitigation, and compliance in highly regulated environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred); advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Data Center Expert, Certified Reliability Leader) are desirable.

Estimated compensation for this position:

435,000.00 - 435,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
