What to Expect
Provides expert hands-on technical support and execution for Tesla battery cell development testing. Works under the direction of senior engineering technical staff to test various cell formats under development. Supports the development and fabrication of test setups, including test fixtures, test equipment, and data collection hardware. Testing may involve electrical, mechanical, and thermal stresses, as well as related data collection and reporting when required.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborates with test engineers to resolve testing issues and execute projects as needed
  • Performs hands-on electrical testing and data collection
  • Conducts initial troubleshooting of testers and connections related to test execution failures, recommending next steps when issues remain unresolved
  • Communicates all issues causing deviations from test or project plans clearly, along with potential solutions
  • Collects the information and data necessary to address technical problems
  • Applies data to solve problems through technical computations, measurements, and analysis
  • Follows safe work practices and adheres to company guidelines and policies

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Practical knowledge of DC electrical theory
  • Functional knowledge of Excel (required); familiarity with SharePoint, Jira, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook (helpful)
  • Ability to run tests and experiments, and define next steps or additional work needed with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and document necessary changes in processes, fixtures, or equipment to improve testing yield, repeatability of test stresses, or reliability of equipment setup

    Expected Compensation
    $31.92 - $53.58/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
