SALARY RANGE: $23.08 to $24.04 per hour

Position Summary:
The Student Services Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Administration in the department of Health & Rehabilitation Services. This position also works collaboratively with the department chair, program directors, and faculty. Skills required include a strong client service orientation, information literacy and critical thinking skills, and oral and written communication skills. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree
*At least two years of directly related administrative support experience in an educational institution.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated experience with Windows operating environment including Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
*Strong client service skills along with the ability to relate to a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
*Strong information literacy, critical thinking, and written and oral communication skills. *Demonstrated ability to make decisions at times when collaboration with colleagues and supervisors is not possible.
*Must have very strong organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize work well and to focus on completion of tasks.
*Must be able to handle frequent visitors and work-flow interruptions, multi-line telephones, and numerous incoming calls.
*Must be able to maintain and update electronic records of student information.
Essential duties:
Responsible for the administration and coordination of student-related services, including, but not limited to:
*Set up course scheduling for assigned programs (graduate and undergraduate) in Banner system and communicate schedule to the College Classroom Manager in accordance with College deadlines
*Manage the Course Inventory Management (CIM) and Proposal Inventory Management (PIM) systems to create, terminate and edit individual courses and degree programs in collaboration with the Program Directors
*Collect and submit all syllabi to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for courses taught in that given semester
*Maintain updated student electronic records in accordance with existing policies, procedures, and regulations
*Refer graduate students to Temple's central systems such as Student Financial Aid, Tuttleman Counseling, CARE Team, Writing Center, Russell Conwell Center for academic assistance, and other central systems as needed
*Facilitate regular communication with the students regarding program changes, course offerings, activities in the department and other student information
*Refer students to program directors and/or advisers in instances of academic concerns, registration, leave of absence, medical withdrawal, grade grievance and other academic issues
*Facilitate graduation clearance and communication to students regarding graduation
*Participate in preparing final documents required for professional organizations, accreditation commissions, and regulatory agencies, as needed
*Provide assistance and support of program, department and College-sponsored activities, including graduation, Open House, Orientation, and other events scheduled throughout the year.
*Support Faculty Directors on facilitating student club organizations, as needed.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
