SALARY RANGE: $16.83 to $19.23 per hour
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary:
The Admissions Counselor oversees special programs within the College of Public Health, including, but not limited to, the pre-nursing, BSN, and direct admissions programs. The Admissions Counselor will conduct information session presentations, and provide information about undergraduate admissions requirements and deadlines, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and curriculum requirements for undergraduate programs within the College. Respond to inquiries from and providing outstanding service to prospective students and applicants. Build and maintain relationships with candidates that span across the enrollment timeline, from inquiry to registration. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and admissions related experience. Experience specifically with health-related programs preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite software programs.
*Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
*Ability to present for both large and small groups.
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of students, staff, and faculty.
*Excellent organization and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to maintain confidentiality with student records.
*Demonstrated ability to utilize an electronic student information system.
*Ability to travel regionally and nationally, as needed.
*Willingness and ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
*Ability to lift boxes of promotional material of approximately 20 pounds.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
*One year of admissions experience.
*Familiarity with health-related undergraduate programs
Essential duties:
*Oversee all aspects of the pre-nursing and direct admissions programs in the College of Public Health.
*Works closely with faculty to develop admission requirements.
*Primary reviewer for all BSN applications.
*Gives nursing-specific as well as general presentations at prospective and admitted student events.
*Assists with high school group visits.
*Attends and supports transfer admission college fairs and events.
*Meets with prospective students and parents on campus on a regular basis.
*Communicates with students and parents regarding the College of Public Health and the admissions process.
*Serves as a member of the university-wide admissions team, working with many other university personnel.
*Attend and support various on-campus and virtual weekday, evening, and weekend programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
