Transportation Business Group Project Administrator Reports to the Area Transportation Business Group Manager or their delegate. Job Description: The Transportation Business Group Project Administrator will be a leader to support project managers in the execution of HDR and area project development, planning, initiation, execution, and closeout processes. This will include providing technical assistance for the completion of accounting, financial, and quality tasks under the direction of the project manager assigned. You will also develop and maintain tools, best practices, and training to support the business group's knowledge base and effectiveness for project business functions. Roles and Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers to achieve successful project metrics through the execution of HDR and area policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with area and business group leadership to implement company policies for successful project delivery. Manage a team of project coordinators to support Project Managers to effectively meet HDR policies for the successful delivery of assigned projects. Align with the HDR processes and policies defined by the PMO and local area processes. Utilize established HDR systems (MOA/Pronto/Pulse/BI) to perform accounting, quality, controls, and risk management tasks as assigned. Continue building the PC team, mentor/ train/ offer encouragement, and explore career growth with the team. Maintain a team to provide a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative, project coordination, and project management functions. Identify opportunities for efficiency and develop best practices and tools that align with corporate standards for procurement/contracts, financial tracking/mgmt, staff planning, and quality assurance. Provide project financial business support by: Proactively monitor project dashboards and work with project managers to achieve successful project metrics. Facilitate project managers and coordinators to adjust working cost forecasts accurately and on cadence. Assist PM's to develop fee proposals, PCRF, and other internal and external deliverables. Identify project problems and work with PM's proactively to resolve. Work with PMs to develop cost-effective change management and documentation. Provide leadership, assistance and guidance to other employees and management in the interpretation, development, and application of policies, practices, and procedures. Develop training curriculum and deliver to Project Managers and Coordinators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
