Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required


Responsibilities for this Position

As an Advanced Engineering Technician you'll support engineering activities by assisting in the design, testing, modification, and maintenance of equipment and systems. They collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of technical processes.

Responsibilities for this Position:

  • Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Works with Engineering and Operations Support. Works with associates and other departments and participates in cross-functional relationships.
  • Assists in the development of new/revised product and programs.
  • Implements practical solutions for process improvement.
  • Organizes, examines, and interprets data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommends resolution/process improvement.
  • Assists others in the design and construction of tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks.
  • Improvises, adapts, and creates operating procedures to enhance quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
  • Develops test specifications and procedures as required.
  • Defines preventative maintenance tasks and performance capabilities of new equipment or processes.
  • Prepares reports, documentation/specifications as required.
  • Performs complex troubleshooting to the component level.

  • An Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions
  • Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices
What sets you apart:
  • Ability to demonstrate soldering skills to pass J-std cert. if required.
  • Ability to fabricate simple and complex hardware as required.
  • Strong proficiency in the use of related tools and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer and test equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted technical theory in appropriate disciplines (software, electrical, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Ability to use computers and software applications to assist in job execution.
  • Ability to generate documents, spreadsheet data analysis, test software, and complex block diagram creation.
  • Ability to reuse technologies between multiple programs.
  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in prioritizing and maintaining effective technical support of multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Understands technologies available to conduct business, when to use them and how to access them for business support.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office excel and word.


Target salary range: USD $35.00/Hr. - USD $38.00/Hr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
