Job Summary: |
The Clinical Research Coordinator (RC) will work within the Division of Family Planning, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Division of Family Planning is nationally recognized as one of top family planning clinical research sites. This position requires that you work with other research coordinators in the Division of Family Planning. This is a remote position. The RC will dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to a medical record review to assess long-term outcomes in contraceptive initiators. This will include reviewing medical charts, extracting data, and recording data in REDCap, Research Electronic Data Capture system. A solid fundamental knowledge of biological and medical sciences is necessary for this position. Ability to work with a team and independently is essential for this position. Additionally, an appreciation of standard methods of clinical research is highly desirable. The RC in this position will not be called on to make independent medical decisions at any time. This position offers opportunities for independent study credits, practicum and capstone or thesis work. The RC will dedicate the remainder of their hours to administrative work with includes but is not limited to submitting invoices for payment and management of gift card programs. Key Responsibilities:
Recording of clinical information, data entry, data query resolution, basic analyses for grant submission, presentations, or publication, and medical record review for study purposes.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science or health related field Clinical research or related experience Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution Outstanding customer service skills Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE ($48,446-61,623) and will be pro-rated to .35 FTE at $16,956-$21,568 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
