Integral member of the International Student Services (ISS) team, serving as front-line liaison who will effectively communicate information to students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, external agencies, international guests, and the general public in a diverse cultural environment. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic office serving the needs of over 3000 international students from over 100 countries. This individual is responsible for in-person services Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Duties & Responsibilities |
Duties and Responsibilities: In conjunction with other front desk staff, manages the following front office operations:
- Serving as initial contacts for all in-person, phone and email inquiries received from students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, external agencies, international guests, and the general public.
- Providing basic immigration information in the areas of full-time enrollment, travel and reentry, and on-campus employment.
- Referring to Designated School Officials (DSOs), Alternate/Responsible Officers (A/ROs) for advanced immigration questions and specific student cases.
- Directing students to appropriate e-forms and providing updates regarding status of submitted requests through MyGlobal/Sunapsis.
- Managing ISS general email account and general office phone line.
- Routing inquiries to International Admissions, Study Abroad, International Faculty and Scholars offices and other Arizona International offices.
- Tracking international student visits received at the front desk through MyGlobal/Sunapsis.
- Daily opening and closing of front lobby.
- Supervising front desk student worker(s) including hiring, scheduling, time reporting, training, and task assignment.
- Reviewing and processing select student requests (examples: Change of Address, e-Letters of Invitation, Ride Requests).
- Submitting maintenance, supplies, and office closure requests as needed.
- Assisting with international student events as needed.
- Performing a variety of administrative and programmatic support activities, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- One year experience working directly with international students
|
Preferred Qualifications |
- Fluency in a second language.
- Experience in office setting.
- One year of direct customer service experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
