Job Description:

As an Application Developer/Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in connecting our engineering team, organization with our valued store partners. You will help in the modernization of our existing API, and Web Based service that we provide for our in-store partners as well as the internal partners and business. You will assist in the development, build, deployment, and sustainment of our future and existing platform. This position will also help troubleshoot and support our store partners with operational issues and update/correct/create knowledge base articles and partner with all production support teams.

An effective Application Developer/Engineer will be detail oriented, have solid technical understanding within the domain, can work independently, and is a team performer. Success will require collaboration, ingenuity, and passion to deliver results.

As a member of our team, you will play an important role in defining how we do development/ engineering. It will require you to learn, refine, and document systems and processes. Your experience with Cloud Computing and .NET, ASP.NET, applications. Azure App Services (Web Apps, Functions, and Logic Apps). Your experience with Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets will help us develop our practice. You will be data driven in pursuit of reliability. Most importantly, you will proactively build relationships and exceed expectations.

Basic Qualifications:


  • .NET/Microsoft Stack Developer, working with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC.
  • API development, including RESTful services and third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of Apigee platform.
  • Azure EntraID formerly Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity and access management.
  • Azure Services, to include (Containerization, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Traffic Manager, and Application Gateway for networks).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools to manage deployments.
  • Git principals, release planning, branch management, GitHub Actions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with qualities of patience and empathy.
  • Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet SLAs.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira and ServiceNow is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple concurrent issues.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, attention to detail, written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
  • SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
  • Application monitoring tools such as Application Insights, Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.


Advanced Qualifications:


  • Hands-on experience with Azure development, including, Azure App Services, Blob Storage, Queues, Event Hubs, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Azure Service Bus solutions for various messaging scenarios, including point-to-point (queues) and publish-subscribe (topics) patterns.
  • Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Working knowledge of containerized applications, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry, etc.
  • Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments using ARM, templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Experience with moving workloads from IaaS (e.g., Virtual Machines, legacy applications) to PaaS services (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions).
  • Understanding of refactoring, rep-platforming, or redesigning applications to be cloud-native and to leverage PaaS advent.
  • Security & Compliance - (Understanding of security best practices for Azure, including network security, identity management and data protection.
  • Azure Security tools like Azure Key Vault, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Security Center.
  • Experience with instrumentation for Application monitoring tools, such as; Application Insights, Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic.
