Lead Mobile HVAC Technician - JLL

What this job involves: Assists the Operations Supervisor and/or Regional Operations Manager in directing the mobile HVAC engineering services operation and maintenance of all assigned buildings. This critical role provides direct support to field operations, performance metric tracking and reporting, and implements strategic material acquisition strategies. You'll play a vital part in ensuring optimal HVAC system performance across multiple commercial facilities while leading mobile engineering services operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Support preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports, prepare technical evaluations/deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components
  • Maintain staffing schedules, timekeeping and employment records for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling and execution of engineering/maintenance work
  • Run status and performance reports from JLL CMMS (Corrigo) and communicate findings effectively through oral and written reports
  • Plan schedule of work in accordance with established priorities and furnish engineers with basic data required for overall and long-range planning
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies and maintain/operate HVAC equipment and all associated equipment
  • Coordinate purchasing and inventory control procedures while assisting with Preventive Maintenance Programs and HVAC Building Automation Systems
  • Maintain liaison with Chief Engineer/Regional Operations Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates, priorities and estimates

Required Qualifications:

  • Universal EPA 608 Certification
  • Minimum of six (6) years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering with strong background in packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance and system design
  • Valid state driver's license that can be maintained throughout employment
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer-based applications and programs, including Word and Excel
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
  • Availability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
  • Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
  • Experience working in service-related role specific to commercial facilities
  • Background in Capital Project recommendations and systems improvement initiatives
  • Experience with HVAC Building Automation Systems
