The Live Check Accountant ensures accurate reconciliation of live and referral check accounts, supports daily operations, and upholds the integrity of fraud prevention practices within the organization. This position serves as a vital bridge between accounting, operations, and marketing and enables resolution of discrepancies to maintain financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  Perform daily reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies.

  Manage the processing of live checks, including positive pay controls and fraud affidavits.

  
  
• 
  

  Research and verify 1099/W-9 information and support compliance documentation.

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational and marketing-related issues involving live checks.

  
  
• 
  

  Upload positive pay and void files; complete reversals of charges when required.

  
  

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  
  
• 
  

  1-3 years of relevant accounting experience; experience with Live Check or Sun Loan programs is a plus.

  
  
• 
  

  Deep understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation, and fraud controls.

  
  
• 
  

  Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and specialized accounting software (iConnect, LMS).

  Strong analytical abilities, accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality handling.
