POSITION: Lead Parts Room

RESPONSIBILITY:

A Parts Room Lead provides supervision over the Parts Room. Lead responsibilities include giving and receiving instructions; delegating tasks; ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to; handling problem resolution; and providing training as needed. Additional duties include requisitions, receives, stocks, and inventories parts, tools, and supplies in the parts room and warehouse. The employee in this position is responsible for charging out parts and issuing tools to maintenance technicians and maintaining an adequate stock of parts and supplies in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Using SAP in the requisition and release of parts.
Unloading freight by hand or lift truck
Performs MRO cycle counts and inventories
Follows all work safety policies and guidelines
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Performs other duties as assigned
Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
Receive parts in and verify parts ordered on the Purchase Order against the packing slip
Put Parts away daily, and label as needed
Conduct Daily Cycle Counts, quarterly full inventory counts
Control inventory, by making sure that parts are being signed out, received in the system
Keep Parts Room clean and organized so parts are easy to find
Assist Maintenance with obtaining parts
Work with maintenance to review parts in storeroom and ID parts that need to be removed due to equipment changes or equipment being removed for plant
Assemble rebuild kits
Continually monitor and track parts that are out of stock, and provide list to Administrator for re-ordering

Experience with SAP a plus

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or parts distribution

Must be able to operate material handling equipment (up to 10K forklifts)
