We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President - Business Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Support to join our Markets team. This role is located in [New York, City]. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: * Support Markets responsibilities relating to Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Banking Secrecy Act (BSA) and Business Sanctions. * Complete new and/or update Business-Specific Data Lineage and Risk Coverage Mapping Cards, and review with the BCO (or equivalent) for approval. * Assist with the preparation of AML, Anti-Tax and Anti-Corruption Risk Assessments, coordinating extensively with business stakeholders. * Review and monitor AML management information reporting from the Center of Excellence, supporting the business in meeting deadlines. * Track and facilitate business responses and documentation for AML and Sanctions Internal Audits and Compliance Monitoring reviews. * Ensure Markets has written policies, procedures and controls reasonably designed to comply with BNY's Global AML/KYC Policy. * Coordinate distribution and communication of sanctions-related information from the Global Compliance Division. * Oversee screening processes, including data flow, data quality, data lineage, testing of screening effectiveness, and review of results. * Support annual AML-related matters such as blocked property attestations, PEP reviews, DNDBW screenings and FinCEN 314(a) search responses. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: * Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 10-12 years of relevant experience; compliance or big 4 consulting background preferred. * Keen interest and/or experience in AML or sanctions and regulatory matters (e.g., KYC, AML, Economic Sanctions). * Relevant knowledge of financial institutions and/or Data related skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. * Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong problem-solving capabilities. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. |
