POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing supplies for the Gaffney factory as well as category relationships both locally and nationally and serves as the primary interface between business and Strategic Sourcing for items located within the Linen Room. This position is also responsible to identify value-creation opportunities and support supplier strategy and performance, collaboration, and vendor relationship management with a focus on risk mitigation, sustainability, food safety, quality, cost, and process improvement.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Linen Room inventory by placing purchase requisitions with vendors.
  • Effective management of all Line Room inventory including check-in/out processes.
  • Communicate with vendors regularly to obtain order updates and best possible price.
  • Escalate supplier issues to Global Procurement.
  • Own and measure cost & process improvement targets and projects.
  • Seek proactive feedback regarding sourcing activities to reduce inventory costs.
  • Develop training documents to ensure that any new processes are captured, communicated, and implemented by the team.
  • Make experience based and data driven decisions that impact inventory.
  • Identify root cause and implement corrective action with cross functional teams to minimize reconciliation issues.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to reduce and/or right size purchases.
  • Perform SKU rationalization and supplier consolidation to provide price breaks and best in class customer service.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and quality measures are being adhered to.
  • Develop, execute, and share inventory control reporting that supports the team's (or business') KPIs.
  • Drives end to end collaboration and continuous improvement in areas that affect inventory control.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings with key stakeholders and leaders to escalate business issues as an Inventory Control Subject Matter Expert.
  • Benchmark against competitors and promote supplier-led innovation to unlock value and suggest new ways of working.
  • Comply with all Procurement and company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or a minimum of 2 years of related work experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in related fields such as inventory control/procurement/operations/manufacturing
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement
  • Previous Inventory Control experience preferred
  • Previous Purchasing experience required
  • Knowledge of and experience with sourcing processes and legal contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PowerBi, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with quantitative, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner.
  • Detail oriented and a self-started, with demonstrated record of taking end-to-end ownership, leading through service.
