Electronic Specialty Gases (ESG) is a focused product line within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing a diverse portfolio of highly purified specialty gases to our customers. The ESG product line is poised for strong growth over the coming years as leading semiconductor companies are making multi-billion dollar investments to expand manufacturing capacity in the United States and globally. The Morrisville PA plant is expanding its chemical process engineering and technical team to ensure it is well poised for these growth opportunities.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Quality Specialist is responsible for quality excellence and execution to improve productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction. He/she will support projects as a part of the Quality Strategy and quality initiatives. The primary focal points are to create more usable and simpler processes, reduce burden within our quality systems, improve effectiveness, and drive overall efficiency. The role is responsible for supporting Event Management and Process Control efforts as well as identifying improvement opportunities that will impact Key Performance Indicators. Responsibilities
Lead activities (e.g. audits, management reviews, APQRs, certification/accreditation coordination, etc.) to maintain conformity of the Management System to customer, internal (e.g. IMS, ISO 9001 / 22000 / 17025, Responsible Care), and regulatory (e.g. FDA, Health Canada) requirements Update procedures within the Management System based on customer, internal (e.g. IMS, ISO 9001 / 22000 / 17025, Responsible Care), and regulatory (e.g. FDA, Health Canada) requirements Identify documentation redundancies and underutilization opportunities Initiate change requests, monitor status, and review and approve documents in the document control system Lead other related activities such as customer audits, complaint investigations, supplier quality issue review & response, and electronic Certificates of Analysis (eCoA) processes Facilitate the execution of quality projects and initiatives focused on improving the AL Management System and Business Unit Operational Processes Define problem and current conditions Capture risks and customer needs Establish goals and plan Maintain a robust statistical quality/process control (SQC/SPC) program supporting all ALESU product lines, ensuring it is continuously improved to address new business opportunities and stakeholder needs Analyze, evaluate, and report on PCS and SQC/SPC data to improve performance, enhance quality processes/products, minimize cost, and to provide such credible, reliable, and robust data to other Air Liquide business areas and locations Drive the organization to the usage of common tools and methods to reach quicker, more transparent, data-based business decisions; influence across business functions and strategic customers to deliver agreed PCS objectives Support the commercial team in discussions and negotiations related to PCS, ensuring the right balance between meeting discerning customer expectations and operational priorities and capabilities Develop policies and procedures related to PCS and SQC/SPC Support SQC/SPC software maintenance and improvement Drive continuous improvement programs based on SPC, Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP), and CPk data Provide training to all levels of employees on proper SPC usage and techniques. Keep abreast of developments and innovation in PCS/SPC and advocate as a recognized internal and external expert Proliferate culture of SPC, process control, and continuous improvement Define and present automation opportunities that support data uploads into the system of record (e.g. audit, permits, etc.) Track, report, and maintain quality dashboards (e.g. Key Performance Indicators, measurable objectives, milestones, non-conformances, corrective actions) that gauge the status and effectiveness of the Management System (escalate past due tasks to the quality leadership as needed) Support data uploads into the system of record (e.g. audit, permits, etc.) Support internal and external audit preparation, coordination, execution, and follow up Coordinate external audits and provide guidance to auditees Capture audit results in the Air Liquide system of record Support the quality risk management program through the facilitation of tools (e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, Risk Register, HACCP) Collaborate with internal teams on how to understand stakeholder & customer quality requirements (e.g. determine needs) Complete periodic supplier audit assessments Coordinate training resources in support of quality related programs Develop learning materials such as job aids, manuals, handouts, and presentations Drive safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of work Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, quality management, statistics, business administration, or technical field 0-3 years of work experience in relevant field Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including conflict management techniques and team leadership skills Knowledge of QA/QC fundamentals including resultant data analysis and problem solving techniques (e.g. lean six sigma, risk management, 5-why, fishbone analysis, 8D, TapRooT) Experience with customer service levels and responsiveness metrics Knowledge of quality principles and their relation to standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001, 17025, 22000, FDA, cGMP, GLPs, etc.) Solid computer skills including experience with MS Office & Google applications Model exemplary behavior & the commitment to meet and exceed Air Liquide standards Provide candid and constructive input to peers & support management decisions Insist on adherence to administrative and operational policies and procedures Complete individual Performance Management goals and reviews as defined Must be able to use a company provided computer Must be able to effectively communicate via telephone, email, and in-person Must be able to read electronic & hard-copy documents of varying typeface font and size Must be able and willing to travel both domestic and international Must be able to actively participate in on-site inspections, audits, & event investigations Must have full range of motion, ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders, and to lift a minimum of 25 pounds Must be able to properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
