Requirements Job Overview The Student Engagement Counselor sits within the Office of Equity and Inclusion at Georgetown Law and plays an essential role in supporting the holistic development of all students as they navigate academic demands, professional formation, and campus life. This student-facing position provides one-on-one support, guidance, and referrals to ensure students feel connected, informed, and empowered to engage fully with the Georgetown Law experience. The role also contributes to community-wide efforts that foster meaningful connections, professionalism, and a sense of belonging. The Counselor is not an academic advisor but serves as a critical touchpoint for students seeking assistance navigating law school life, accessing resources, and building confidence in their ability to thrive. Work Interactions This position reports directly to the Chief Diversity Officer. The Student Engagement Counselor works collaboratively with departments including the Office of the Dean of Students, Academic Affairs, Student Life, Campus Ministry, and University Wellness resources. The Counselor contributes to Georgetown Law's mission to form lawyers who are not only skilled professionals but also ethical leaders committed to service, intellectual inquiry, and the common good. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $66,783.00 - $126,720.23 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
