Job Duties:
The Cross Functional Solutions Lead serves as a strategic leader in the transformation and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems-primarily Workday-across the Universities of Wisconsin System. This role integrates responsibilities from both the Workday Enterprise Solutions Team (WEST) and the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP), focusing on cross-functional system design, implementation, and support for Finance, Human Resources, and Research Administration. The individual in this position directs the design, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Workday and related systems such as Adaptive, Jaggaer/ShopUW+, and RAMP. They lead system analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development to support both operational needs and long-term transformation goals, acting as the principal contact for technical solutions within the application and database infrastructure. This position requires close collaboration across business domains and technical teams-including integrations, conversions, data, and reporting-to ensure cohesive system functionality and alignment with institutional objectives. The Cross Functional Solutions Design Lead partners with ATP governance groups, UW System leaders, service providers, and stakeholders to advance transformation goals and ensure successful implementation and post-go-live support. They supervise and mentor staff, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This includes enhancing user experience, expanding system functionality, and identifying training opportunities for team members. In alignment with ATP's mission to simplify administrative complexity, the role also supports business process standardization, optimization, and redesign. The successful candidate will contribute to a unified leadership team within WEST, support distributed decision-making, and champion diversity, inclusion, and equity throughout the transformation journey. The primary work schedule is Monday through Friday during business hours, beginning no later than 9:00 AM CST and ending no earlier than 3:00 PM CST, with on-call or weekend rotation as needed. Strong technical skills in configuration, integration and reporting * Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and solve complex issues within ERP systems.
