Collections Representative - Deceased Accounts Location Options: St. Louis Park, MN or Coon Rapids, MN Employment Type: Full-Time \| On-Site Industry: Third Party Collections \| Estate Recovery \| Customer Service About the Role Are you a strong communicator with a calm, professional demeanor? Do you thrive in structured environments and enjoy investigative work? We're hiring Collections Representatives to join a specialized team focused on deceased account recovery. This role involves making outbound calls to gather estate information, establish payment arrangements, and support compliance efforts-all while handling sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion. What You'll Do * Make outbound calls to authorized individuals regarding deceased account balances * Follow established policies, procedures, and training guidelines to ensure compliance * Maintain and manage a queue of accounts with regular follow-up and documentation * Conduct fact-finding conversations to locate estate details and identify potential payment sources * Establish payment arrangements with urgency and clear deadlines * Perform skip-tracing activities to locate responsible parties or estate contacts * Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as needed Skills You Bring * High attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy * Comfortable working independently and meeting daily productivity goals * Strong verbal communication and active listening skills * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems * Reliable attendance and a commitment to accuracy Qualifications * Required: * High School Diploma or GED * 1+ year of customer service experience * Preferred: * 6+ months of collections or call center experience * Bilingual Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to apply (we're flexible on other qualifications if you're fluent!) Benefits (healthcare, dental, PTO, etc): medical, dental, vision, short term/long term disability, 401K, yearly performance/comp evaluations, PTO 16 days/year and holiday pay Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Coon Rapids,MN.
