As an HIM Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance, and supporting clinical teams with timely documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working independently while contributing to patient care in a meaningful way. *What You'll Do* * Review, manage, and process medical records and healthcare documentation * Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems * Respond to requests for medical records from patients, providers, and third parties * Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards * Assist with scanning, indexing, and organizing physical and digital records * Support audits and reporting by preparing documentation and verifying data integrity * Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve documentation discrepancies * Perform general administrative tasks including faxing, emailing, and data entry *Skills You Bring* * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks efficiently * Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation (preferred) * Excellent written and verbal communication * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems * Reliable attendance and a commitment to accuracy *Top Skills We're Looking For* * Entry Level: Open to work experience * Data entry and administrative support * Microsoft Office proficiency * Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare workflows *Why This Role Might Be Perfect for You* * You enjoy structured tasks and clear expectations * You're looking to grow your career in healthcare administration * You take pride in accuracy and confidentiality * You want to be part of a team that supports patient care from behind the scenes *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
