Position Summary:
The CMS Customer Service Representative provides support in monitoring and processing alarms received within the Central Monitoring Station. This role is responsible for handling emergency calls, dispatching appropriate personnel or agencies, documenting all activities, and delivering outstanding customer service to clients requiring assistance with their accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process alarm signals in priority order.
  • Receive, process, and dispatch emergency calls to appropriate agencies or customer contacts.
  • Acknowledge alarms and log all actions taken into system activity reports.
  • Generate statistical or investigative reports for management review.
  • Provide quality customer service on every call with clear and professional communication.
  • Exercise good listening skills and resolve issues efficiently while managing call length.
  • Participate in monthly training sessions and remain familiar with emergency procedures.
  • Review and critique recorded calls for continuous improvement in customer interaction.



Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience (security call center experience preferred).
  • Certified training or knowledge of Access Control, Fire, and Burglary systems a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Internet) and data entry systems.
  • Familiarity with ACD systems helpful.
