The Facility Operator Lead is responsible for operating HMJ automated dispensing system, mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner to prepare and blend customer orders to meet their specifications.

LOCATION: 4730 New Middle Rd, Jeffersonville, IN 47130 | SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm | COMPENSATION: $21.56 - $28.00 hourly

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.


  • Prepare customer orders, including blending, adjusting, filling, and labeling batches
  • Operate HMJ automated dispensing system, mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
  • Ensure fill levels on the HMJ automated dispensing system are at proper fill levels.
  • Make color adjustments to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize color matching equipment ie Aurora, spectrophotometers, X-rite, UV-Vis
  • Ensure customers' quality and service expectations are met (SOP)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily
  • Maintain production records and reporting as required, ie batch dates, delta E's
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels
  • Provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse/stockroom
  • Determine where to use re-work, when applicable.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with those in line of work
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machinery
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility
  • Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
