Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Career Stormwater Engineer to join our Stormwater Practice in our Wenatchee, WA office. This is a full-time position that will collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to complete cutting edge projects to restore and protect water quality and fish and wildlife habitat. In this growth focused role, you will have the opportunity to actively deliver challenging engineering projects as you continue to broaden your consulting skills in project and client management, as well as business development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. You should expect to work closely with experienced professionals who will help integrate you into Geosyntec's culture as you advance to this next stage of your career. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, allowing you the opportunity to work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take on a mix of technical project deliverables, as you develop your skills into tackling more project management, client relationship management, and business development efforts. Some of the key responsibilities for this role may include:

    Complete in-field stream condition evaluations, drainage system inventories, basin delineations, and stormwater and stream restoration project site assessments;
  • Set up, run, and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models of natural and constructed drainage systems;
  • Prepare conceptual stormwater and stream restoration designs in GIS, and then use AutoCAD to prepare construction drawings;
  • Provide construction management support for stormwater, habitat restoration, and erosion and sediment control projects;
  • Analyze state and federal stormwater quality regulations and standards and provide stormwater compliance support to municipal, industrial, and construction site clients;
  • Help prepare comprehensive stormwater management plans, stormwater master plans, and stormwater pollution prevention plans;
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.


Education and Licensure

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or related field. (preferred)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in stormwater and water resources engineering, design, and regulatory compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Proficient level of experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
  • Some familiarity with WA Department of Ecology Stormwater Design Manuals and NPDES Municipal, Industrial, and Construction stormwater permits. (preferred)
  • Experience tracking, managing, and reporting stormwater compliance activities for municipal, and/or industrial, and/or construction sites. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $85,340 / year - Maximum Salary: $110,940 / year (Wenatchee, WA)
