Overview

Job Purpose

The Senior Data Product Manager at ICE Mortgage Technology serves as the primary customer advocate for the business and technical team and defines appropriate and sustainable servicing data solutions that meet the needs of customers both externally and internally.

This position will work closely with stakeholders and customers (both internal and external) to gather the business requirements and translate them into process flows, features, user stories, and the other assets needed by development to build solutions for our customers and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to develop and optimize data warehouse and operational data store solutions.
  • Partner with data engineering and architecture teams to design, build and maintain modern data warehouse platforms.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data across systems and platforms to support unified analytics and reporting.
  • Drive development of self-service tools, dashboards, and KPIs that empower data-driven decision-making.
  • Champion data governance practices including metadata management and data lineage.
  • Craft detailed features and user stories to guide engineering execution and ensure alignment with product goals.
  • Identifies risks, challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs, and product retirement plans.
  • Demonstrates leadership by establishing and articulating a clear vision of success and how goals and objectives will be achieved. Presents status updates as needed.
  • Provides content for product roadmaps, ensures timely delivery, and provides business reasons for any changes/revisions made.
  • Skilled in understanding and managing the financial aspects of data products, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Partners with marketing, sales, and operations to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for data products.
  • Monitors the work of team, providing technical and analytical support and direction. Interfaces with external clients or field-based employees on technical matters and acts as escalation point as needed.
  • Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups, and requirements gathering sessions, as needed.
  • Identifies areas where continuous improvement can be applied, implements the change, and measures the level of improvement.
  • Works closely with portfolio, program, and development teams to review enhancements for strategic value and align resources to highest priorities.
  • Presents product information and industry thought leadership to internal as well as external audiences in webinars and conferences as needed.
  • May require up to 10% travel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Mortgage servicing experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ICE Mortgage Technology data products and services highly preferred.
  • MSP experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in data product delivery
  • Cloud data warehouse and operational data store experience a plus.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or Jira is highly preferred.
  • A proven track-record of gathering requirements and writing features, user stories and other artifacts to communicate the vision for your products to customers, stakeholders, and developers.
  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form to all levels of leadership in an organized, professional manner.
  • Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks.
  • Requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and must be resourceful.
  • Typically requires any combination of 7+ years' experience in mortgage or financial technology in product management, consulting, product support, product owner or business analyst role.
