Per Diem Premium/Nights (1900-0700)

The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center - Biddeford is a 40 Bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) unit providing step-down level care for patients no longer needing full ICU level care offering a concentration of post-cardiac procedure and cardiac patients.

This department is on a self-scheduling model, with normal shifts 12 hours in duration.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care - MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN'srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. OB, NICURN'srequire NRP Certification within one year ofstartdate orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
  • Experience:One year of RN experiencerequired. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse - Acute Care role.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassistingLaboring Womenrequired.
