Pay Information

We're hiring for one position within our audit career path. This opportunity may be filled at the Auditor (mid-level) or Senior Auditor level, depending on your skills, experience, and professional qualifications.

Auditor



  • Pay Level: 022
  • Full Range: $59,716.46 - $95,546.34
  • Estimated Starting Pay: $60,000 - $80,000


Senior Auditor



  • Pay Level: 024
  • Full Range: $72,523.20 - $119,663.39
  • Estimated Starting Pay: $72,550 - $100,000

Offers typically fall within the estimated starting pay range, at or below the midpoint, and align with internal equity and role expectations. The top of the range reflects the ceiling for this role and is only used in rare cases. We do not extend offers above the posted maximum.

A day in the life

The Auditor works jointly with team members in planning and performing assigned audit projects. This position assists in performing compliance, operational, financial, and information systems audits to ensure internal controls are operating efficiently and confirm operations comply with federal, state, and contractual requirements. The Auditor role requires strong experience in risk-based auditing-performing audits that have not been done before, based on identified risks. This is a critical skill for success in this position.

Your responsibilities will include



  • Performs and leads various audit and advisory projects. These project types may include operational, financial, and information systems to evaluate internal control effectiveness and efficiency and confirm operations comply with federal, state and contractual requirements Participates in and facilitates meetings with process owners, including entrance conferences, walkthroughs, and exit conferences.
  • Develops the purpose, scope, objectives, and procedures for assigned projects.
  • Addresses and/or provides audit coaching comments accurately and timely, provides system improvements suggestions and internal control considerations.
  • Performs risk assessments to identify potential risks that may impact the achievement of the organization's objectives.
  • Drafts and delivers audit and advisory reports to management staff that include findings and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Obtains and evaluates corrective action plans for appropriateness.
  • Assesses the company's internal processes and provides recommendations and/or training.
  • Collaborates with outside auditing vendors to coordinate required external audits within the organization.
  • Provides support and input for specialized and in-depth projects as requested. Analyzes and retrieves data appropriate for requested projects.
  • Assists with administration of audit software.
  • Aids with identifying project plans and objectives through collaboration with management. Aids with specialized training within the department.
  • Appropriately protects member, provider, and employee data used in audit work.
  • Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.



For Senior Auditor Level:
In addition to the responsibilities above, the Senior Auditor leads audit and advisory projects, provides training and mentorship to team members, and reviews audit files for quality and compliance with internal standards. Senior Auditors also take a proactive role in identifying process improvements, coaching staff, and collaborating with leadership to support strategic goals.

What you need to succeed

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, information technology, or a related field.


Experience



  • Auditor: Minimum of 3 years in auditing, including risk-based auditing (audits driven by identified risks and not previously performed).
  • Senior Auditor: Minimum of 5 years' experience, including risk-based auditing (audits driven by identified risks and not previously performed). Strong knowledge of audit processes and practices.


Certifications



  • Auditor: No certification required.
  • Senior Auditor: CIA, CPA, or equivalent certification required (must remain active and in good standing).

Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
