Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of a manager or above, the Senior, Industry Specialty Services role will provide research, data collection and standardization and modeling support for the bioTRAK database-related consulting projects for the Firm. This role will have minimal direct interactions with clients of the Firm. Rather, the consulting services performed by this position are primarily "back office" support for consulting services coordinated by a manager or above. In addition, this role may assist or support other Firm employees with internal Firm projects and initiatives, process economic models, business development or Firm library.

Job Duties:



  • Responsible for the overall curation and stewardship of the Company's proprietary database and associated data-driven assets relating to biopharmaceuticals (e.g., recombinant proteins, gene therapy, modified cell therapy, mRNA)

    • Collecting, validating standardizing and entering or updating product and manufacturing capacity data to bioTRAK standards from a wide variety of internal and external sources

  • Develops and maintains automated search and data retrieval programs which assist in the collection of data
  • Assists in maintaining bioTRAK models and assumptions required to support the analysis of the supply and demand dynamics of various biopharmaceutical modalities
  • Participates in market research, technology assessment, and due diligence reviews and delivers comments in report or memo form to the Project Manager as requested
  • Actively seeks areas and activities to expand their capabilities within one or more area of chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC)
  • Balances client wants and project requirements with supervision
  • Provides necessary support for internal Firm operations and initiatives (i.e., BPTG Projects):
  • Identifies topics for blogs and assisting more senior employees with preparing blogs
  • Performs background research to support preparation of articles for publication in journals, presentations for delivery at conferences, or whitepapers for publication on the BDO website

    • Assists with other internal initiatives, such as formatting and uploading references to the BPTG library, mining the bioTRAK database and other sources for potential business development leads, etc.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, required


Experience:



  • Two to Four (4) years in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical, required
  • Experience with CMC-related activities supporting the development, manufacturing, or quality of biopharmaceutical or biologic products, preferred


License/Certifications:



  • N/A


Software:



  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
  • Experience with constructing and operating automated search and data retrieval programs, experience with AI is preferred


Language:



  • N/A

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business/report writing

  • Strong organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Maryland Range: $90,000 - $110,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $110,000
