U.S. based manufacturer known for their commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency is looking for an HR Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support to their Human Resources team. This role plays a key part in managing employee lifecycle activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting onboarding and training, and enhancing workplace engagement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HR system.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings and coordinating interviews.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and organize new hire orientations.
  • Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
  • Help plan and execute employee engagement programs, such as wellness or team-building initiatives.
  • Respond to employee questions about company policies and HR matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Support onboarding and cross-training programs.
  • Assist in Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements.
  • Participate in grievance handling and labor-management meetings.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
