We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, KYC Product Owner to join our Treasury Services Platform team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and articulate the strategic vision for KYC as a Service to enable clients to onboard onto BNY's AMP solutions, providing enhanced risk and controls for clients across segments such as Fintech, Digital Assets, Brokerage & Wealth.
- Establish the product's positioning in the market as a scalable, modular, and client-centric API solution.
- Identify client segments, industries, and use cases where KYC as a Service can drive maximum value.
Product Definition & Roadmap
- Own the product roadmap, balancing regulatory requirements, client needs, and technical feasibility.
- Define clear product requirements and success metrics for the KYC API and related capabilities.
- Partner with engineering, design, legal, compliance, and operations to translate business requirements into actionable features.
- Client & Market Focus
- Conduct market analysis to understand client needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory trends.
Define the scope and applicability of the API for different client profiles and business scenarios. - Collaborate with sales, marketing, and client engagement teams to position KYC as a value-adding service.
Execution & Delivery
- Act as the voice of the client, ensuring the product delivers exceptional user experiences.
- Own backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and product delivery in partnership with Agile teams.
- Ensure compliance, scalability, and security are embedded in the product design.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Partner with senior executives and cross-functional teams to champion KYC as a strategic product.
- Communicate roadmap progress, priorities, and KPIs to stakeholders across the business.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in providing product ownership or product management required; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience or knowledge in Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, regulatory compliance, or client onboarding is strongly preferred.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
