Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Building Services, perform building maintenance tasks and logistical needs associated with the facilities, programs, and events supported by the Divisional Operations department, and within the Division of Student Affairs. Evaluate all tasks to determine methods of remedy, skillsets required to resolve, and coordinate with campus trades or services, if task is deemed one that cannot be self-performed. Position supervises student staff to support general maintenance efforts. Participate in department and division related work teams and committees. Follow all established safety guidelines and trainings, as required.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
- At least 2 years of experience within building maintenance and/or facilities management.
- Experience working in a building maintenance environment that manages building condition, repairs, and solutions to maintain a safe and operable facility.
- Supervision skills to recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate student staff.
- Knowledge of procedures, techniques and materials to perform repair work and skills to use power and hand tools: knowledge to apply the proper use of the equipment or tool for the situation.
- Knowledge of work order systems that provide solutions for workflow management, communication, scheduling, and tracking tasks from initiation to resolve.
- Skills to professionally communicate with management, staff, students, and members of the community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and other miscellaneous repairs.
- Experience working in a solution-based position that requires high standards of service.
- Organization skills to determine workload priorities for supply and material needs and timely completion of assignments.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and follow all safety procedures.
- Reading skills to understand basic policies and procedures, as well as labels and written instructions and knowledge of University policies and procedures.

Work Environment
