Job Summary Join Our Team at South Mountain Community College! South Mountain Community College is seeking a dynamic Instructional Services Supervisor to join our Academic Affairs team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the student learning experience by planning, developing, and overseeing projects that support class scheduling and curriculum development. You'll collaborate closely with Instructional Divisions, Student Affairs, and Residential Faculty to ensure academic programs run smoothly and effectively. Essential Functions 30% - Leadership and Coordination Provides day-to-day direction for assigned staff and serves as a liaison to faculty and staff involved in class scheduling and curriculum development. Oversees and coordinates projects; ensures effective communication and workflow between college divisions and District enterprise system administrators. Supports Student Information System (SIS), Enterprise Reporting System (ERS), and 25Live business processes by troubleshooting and resolving data integrity issues. 25% - Compliance and Policy Oversight Ensures adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as college and district curriculum and accreditation policies. Researches, analyzes, and collaborates with the Vice President of Academic Affairs to resolve complex course and scheduling issues. Develops cooperative relationships across departments and prepares correspondence requiring in-depth knowledge of curriculum and scheduling processes. 25% - Scheduling and Curriculum Management Coordinates, develops, and monitors multi-term academic schedules and curriculum with a strong focus on data integrity. Manages faculty reassigned time and compensation processing. Utilizes web-based enterprise systems to manage class scheduling, curriculum updates, facility reservations, and related reporting functions. 20% - Training, Communication, and Strategic Support Provides group and one-on-one training for faculty and staff; develops and updates training materials related to curriculum and schedule processing. Communicates system updates, policy changes, and procedural improvements. Participates in strategic planning and contributes to the development and implementation of departmental goals and initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field, four (4) years of experience such as planning, developing, implementing or overseeing projects and services in support of educational programs in area of assignment which includes two years of lead work or senior level experience. OR Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field, six (6) years of experience such as planning, developing, implementing or overseeing projects and services in support of educational programs in area of assignment which includes two years of lead work or senior level experience. OR High School Diploma/GED from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field, eight (8) years of experience such as planning, developing, implementing or overseeing projects and services in support of educational programs in area of assignment which includes two years of lead work or senior level experience. Desired Qualifications A. Four (4) or more years of demonstrated experience leading the creation and development of class schedules using enterprise information systems (e.g., Ad Astra, PeopleSoft), preferably within a higher education environment. B. Four (4) or more years of experience managing curriculum and/or class schedule processes, including the interpretation and application of institutional policies and procedures. C. Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience overseeing staff or curriculum teams, organizing meetings, and facilitating effective communication among project teams and stakeholders. D. Three (3) or more years of experience processing and monitoring faculty reassigned time and compensation, managing multiple projects, and coordinating complex activities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. E. Two (2) or more years of experience designing, delivering, and implementing training programs for targeted user groups. F. Two (2) or more years of experience applying and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional curriculum and accreditation policies.
