Job Summary This Broadcast Producer Senior position will host classical music shifts (live and recorded), oversee music scheduling for the station, produce content for air using digital editing software, fundraise on-air during member drives, and represent the station at concerts and community events. Essential Functions 40% - Schedules music for the station. This requires vast operational knowledge of Classical music including categories, instrumentation, public radio best practices, artist and symphony knowledge and ability to execute detailed operational plan with direction from Program Director 30% - Hosts live and recorded air shifts and fundraising. Includes ability to direct co-host and pitch teams in live situations; directs, manages and operationalizes all aspects of studio and production elements in a timely and accurate fashion 20% - Produces content for the station using digital editing software. High level skill in audio editing software including multi-track sound production, managing guests and other station team members to operate and prepare studios and audio for broadcast including digital file protocol 10% - Fundraises and represents the station at concerts and community events. Outgoing personality and audience ambassador skill to professionally represent the classical genre Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in journalism, radio/television, broadcasting or directly related field and two years of broadcast production experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Three (3) years of experience hosting classical radio air shifts B. Three (3) years of experience producing content for air using digital editing software C. Two (2) years of experience scheduling classical music shifts using scheduling software (ex. Music Master) D. One (1) year of experience representing a radio station at concerts and community events Special Working Conditions Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations. May require some evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
