  • Prepares prescriptions, prescription labels, IV preparation worksheets for RPh check.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring investigational drug inventories.
  • Completes protocol specific training for clinical teams documentation and delegation logs.
  • Maintains drug accountability records including routine protocol inventories for drugs, including expiration date checks.
  • Prepares oral and injectable medications per USP 795 , USP 797/800 and protocol guidelines.
  • Participates in USP 797/800 clean room cleaning and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Completes drug resupply orders, and participates in drug check in including complex cold chain monitoring controls.
  • Refers questions regarding investigational studies to Pharmacists.
  • Completes clean room and hazardous drug training and sterile compounding activities.
  • Participates in IWRS training and completes IWRS check in processing on multiple sponsor systems.
  • Participates in protocol paperwork (communications, consent forms, receipts, addendums, etc.) filing.
  • Delivers investigational products to study personal with order/label verbal read back with nursing.
  • Records, packages, and arranges for shipment of investigational drug supplies as appropriate for satellites and sponsors.
  • Participates in drug destruction with sponsor specific written directive including drug accountability records.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
