Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Experimentation Laboratory (C2BMC X-Lab), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies.

  • Experience with Java and the Spring framework
  • Experience with the Linux environment
  • Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools

  • Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent
  • Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions

  • Failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources
  • Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

Workplace Options:

This position is fully on-site. While on-site, you will be a part of the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) located on Schriever SFB, CO. Non-standard work hours are likely during event execution.

Target salary range: USD $115,674.00/Yr. - USD $128,325.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
