Histology Lab Assistant

Staffmark is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Histology Lab Assistant to support daily operations in a fast-paced histology lab in Jonesboro, AR. This role plays a key part in preparing and processing human tissue samples and maintaining high standards for lab accuracy, cleanliness, and safety.

Schedule + Pay

• 2 AM - 11 AM
• 3 AM - 12 PM
• 4 AM - 1 PM
• Shifts vary Monday - Friday
• Pay: $16+ per hour

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A certificate from a recognized histology training program is a plus
• 1 year of experience in the histology field (equal to 1 year of combined education and experience) is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow detailed instructions
• Comfortable handling chemicals, lab instruments, and small tools with precision
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong team-player attitude

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all essential histology lab duties, including slide preparation and tissue processing.
• Support quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Perform instrument maintenance and assist with new methodology or instrument implementation.
• Operate laboratory information systems with accuracy.
• Train new team members as needed.
• Maintain organized documentation and follow established safety protocols.
• Report directly to the Histology Lead Technician and/or General Supervisor of Operations.
