Position Objective

Acts independently through a working schedule of building reviews to monitor the level of janitorial, periodical, and special projects. Fully accountable for developing and executing quality control plans, reporting, and resource management. Manage OSHA/Safety programs and onsite training.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Control and Reporting:

    Develop, drive, and execute quality assurance plans and schedules for all quality assurance programs and improvement.
  • Responsible for daily oversight of the quality assurance program as it relates to all services required under the contract.
  • Oversee and communicate to the Senior Project manager strategic planning processes to ensure quality is met in accordance with the scope of work and client expectations.
  • Provide performance management for all quality related concerns and expectations.
  • Perform daily inspections of each building, grounds, parking garages, ACC and Central Plant weekly. Document all deficiencies and send them to the appropriate project manager, and upper management. All inspection reports must be complete and submitted daily.
  • Attend weekly, Wednesday morning inspections with Customer at 8:00 am and document all deficiencies, create an inspection report, and distribute to the Sr. Project Manager, Campus Project Manager, Vice President of Operations, Director of Field Services, and Facility Supervisor within 24 hours.
  • Follows up on and re-inspects all reported deficiencies.
  • Gather data and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports and submit to the Senior Project Manager, Vice President of Operations, Director of Field Services and Project Managers.
  • Creates reports and work tickets to be distributed internally and to the customer items noted through various reporting systems.
  • Initiates, revises, and maintains quality documentation, procedures, manuals, and specifications.
  • Audit supply closets, janitor closets and equipment monthly.

Resource Management

  • Forecast and communicate with Senior Project Manager all employee recommended changes, needs for upcoming projects and periodical work to ensure quality is met.
  • Identify the qualifications of new employees to meet project needs.

Training

  • Coordinate with vendors to perform annual on-site training.
  • Schedule routine training with personnel to focus on assigned tasks.

OSHA/Safety

  • Oversees and performs OSHA compliance and inspections. Creates reports and deliverables.

General

  • Attend quarterly Operations meetings.
  • Maintains working business relationships with Senior PM and PM(s).
  • Facilitate communication between Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure areas are staffed efficiently.
  • Provide support as needed to the team for all special projects and events.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers and Project Managers


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING PREFERRED

  • A minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible quality management experience
  • A minimum of one (1) years of custodial experience
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance - REQUIRED
  • Experience in LEED certified facilities
  • A minimum of one (1) years' experience working within government facilities
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling/storage procedures.
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Reliable transportation to perform daily site visits at various VA locations.
  • Core business hours are 7:00AM - 3:30PM; however, due to the nature of this position we require a candidate that can adjust their work schedule to ensure day shift and night shift employees receive the leadership required. Work hour flexibility is needed based on business needs and customer expectations.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) skills required.

  • Reports to work each day and on time.
  • Completes tasks in an efficient manner.
    Must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e., when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc.).
    Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Performs all duties in a safe and effective manner within the guidelines and policies of Mister Kleen.
