Job Duties: Associate, Research and Client Advisory Group with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Perform original research and analysis on a range of topics across geopolitics and emergent technology that will help inform firm strategy and provide thought leadership to clients, including issues related to AI and capital markets. Analyze trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and generate insightful reports. Use data analysis and data models to research the costs and efficiency benefits for internal and external clients, navigate use of emerging technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, big data platforms, and other information technologies, in order to deliver best practices and uses cases to internal and external clients in the forms of memo briefings, facilitated training dialogues, and other analytical products. Develop high-quality materials for clients, including presentations, research note, white papers, and briefings, that effectively communicate complex ideas and findings on implementation options for internal and external clients by drawing on cross-divisional subject matter expertise. Work closely with bankers, experts, senior researchers, economists, and strategists to support a wide range of activities and projects. Apply innovative and creative tools to develop new approaches and solutions to complex problems. Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical or quantitative field, such as Economics, with one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical or quantitative field, such as Economics with three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's) in the following: performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and communicating concise information for internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority, including senior executives, stakeholders internal and external to the organization using analytical tools such as Excel or PowerPoint; developing memos, checklists, following governance policies, and other planning processes for projects for numerous stakeholders internal and external at various levels of seniority; researching and writing projects in the form of memos, white papers, or project planning documents for senior executives on trends in technology or geopolitics; performing research on global markets leveraging understanding of how the financial services industry operates; and modeling and analyzing large data sets to recommend and measure significant risk management measures with measurable impact for internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority, including senior executives.
